Maryanne Fair, Deputy City Clerk

Maryanne Fair was appointed Deputy City Clerk in 1999.  She has been employed with the City of O’Fallon since June 17, 1996.   She has been an O’Fallon resident since 1997.
Maryanne has a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Studies with a minor in Communication from Saint Louis University.  She received her Master Municipal Clerk designation in December 2007 from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.  The educational courses are conducted by the University of Illinois Institute of Government and Public Affairs.  She received her Certified and Registered Municipal Clerk in December 2001 from Governmental Studies, Northern Illinois University, DeKalb, Illinois.  She has been a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks Association since 1999.  She is an active member of the Municipal Clerks of Illinois.  She served as District IX Director for the Municipal Clerks of Illinois in 2005-2007 and 2012 – 2014. She served as MCI Treasurer in 2014.  She currently serves as the treasurer for the MCI Institute Training Committee, which is a position appointed by the Governor.  She served as the chairman of the Technology/Records Management/Web Site Committee from 2003 – 2014.  She has also served on the Finance Committee for the Municipal Clerks of Illinois.  She is the past president of the Southwestern Illinois Clerk’s Association serving 2003 – 2005, as well as serving as their secretary twice and as the vice president.  She has been a member of the National Association of Parliamentarians and the Illinois Association of Parliamentarians since 2007.  She also co-formed a Parliamentary Study Group in 2012.
